I had a stroke on May 31, 2008. Because there was no news at that time about the problems caused by Yaz, my lawyers are giving me hell because the charity hospital have me a temporary diagnosis of migraine pending MRI results. The MRI showed a 7mm spot in the left, back side of my brain. Now my lawyers are saying it’s an alterial clot. Those aren’t being looked at right now. Is it not obvious that I’m being bullied by not only Bayer, but my own lawyers! I have never seen my lawyers. They have never met me. I am having to put my life in the hands of strangers I will never meet! And for what? 5 years of pain, suffering, major depression, declining health, and marital problems. All because nobody knows where to place my case. I’m a human being, not a case number! My lawyers promised to update me every 3 months. I’ve had to call anytime I want info. They don’t contact me. I’m at my breaking point and they still don’t care. I’m beginning to wonder if they would rather me die so they can just drop my case. I have never felt so alone and scared in my life. I used to be healthy and love to do things. Now I stay at home all day scared of what’s next.

I was on Yasmin for at least five years, maybe longer. I stopped taking yasmin birth control at the end of 2011 as a personal choice, and then found out about a year later that the birth control I had been on for many years had been taken of the market due to serious injury and death in some users. I informed my doctors of the bothersome side effects while I was on Yasmin (mainly nausea, and emotional instability) but they always insisted that it was beneficial that I stay on it, and said “rates of ovarian cancer are lower in women who use birth control”. I’ve developed a lot of aches and pains in my body, despite the fact that I stay extremely active and am often experiencing tightness in my chest and sometimes shooting pains in my arms and legs, I’ve also been struggling with cystic acne, anxiety and depression in the years since taking birth control and would say that I have reached limited professional potential due to the state of my health. My healthcare bills seemed to skyrocket due to the amount of various ailments I suffered in the last five years. I would have never attributed it to my birth control, since since birth control has always been basically thought of as “safe” . Now that I am learning of all the side effects that people are suffering from after taking this medication I am extremely skeptical about whether the birth control pill yasmin that I was taking was in fact “safe” and whether my health problems could be attributed to yasmin side effects. None of the dangers listed in the yasmin side effects seemed any different than the birth control pills that I had taken previously, and learning of the ever growing concern over side effects and the seriousness of pulminary embolism, blood clots, stroke, death, blindness etc. I’m becoming increasingly concerned for the current and future state of my health. I would highly appreciate a professionals opinion about whether I should be concerned about the long term effects that taking Yasmin has had on my body.
